Many of us are online because we what to create a business income from our gifts and talents. Others of us are here to have fun connecting with family and friends. Still others want to broaden their social circle, learn, express themselves, shop and more.

But even if you are not online for business and you want to learn how to move your business to the next level, my online collaboration partner of 3 years, Monique MacKinnon, is passionate about sharing what she knows about doing just that- getting faster to sustainable profit.

The secret to fast sustainable profit is to move your business up from one level to the next, quickly and masterfully. But guess what? - This will make you feel uncomfortable! Why?

Because a part of your brain will be searching, basically rationalizing for reasons to stay and play at a lower level. By holding onto this inner conflict, all you’ll get is less-than-desirable results!

Here’s the thing though, you are going to feel the discomfort whether you decide to move up to the next level or not. So metaphorically speaking, get your running gear on and make an effort to jog and then run, and you’ll see progress right away. Remember, inertia is greatest at rest; when you haven’t yet taken up a new activity or habit. With practice, you learn to transform inertia into momentum.

Each step will be uncomfortable and challenging yet exciting too. The great news is that after you take your first step, the next one will reveal itself to you. Bigger results you’ve been deliciously waiting for will appear soon thereafter.

Now for the million-dollar question, ‘Are you serious enough about building a highly successful business?’ If you answered ‘Yes’, then ask yourself this—What is the one thing that most disturbs you about your current business level? Here are some examples of transitions you can make:

    • Prospect and present to groups, instead of just individuals. Work only with high-level clients.
    • Create a support team whose responsibility includes contributing to your business’ bottom line.
    • Collaborate with partners associated with groups with a strong interest in your offerings.
    • Further specialize and extend your expertise.
    • Go from working solely locally to nationally and internationally, virtually and/or in person.
    • Systematize and automate your marketing and sales.
    • Create additional complementary income streams.

You get the picture? Isn’t this what you signed up for as an entrepreneur?

Maybe you have already been thinking about some of these transitions, as they are called here. Or maybe there is something else you've been wanting to take action but are still in that level of discomfort.

What a great question: what is the one thing that disturbs you the most about your current business success?
